German Franchise Statistics

Franchising is well established in Germany. It is common in the retail industry and in certain service industries, such as the dry cleaning, car-rental and travel businesses.


Greece Franchise Statistics

Franchising first appeared in Greece in the mid-70s. Until the late 80s, there were no more than a dozen of Greek franchises. Today, 10 years later and as we approach year 2000, Greek franchises are estimated at around 250 and franchised outlets at around 4460.

Franchising is a rather new form of entrepreneurship in Hungary. Although the franchises appeared in the late seventies, early eighties of the last century the conditions of real franchising were created only after the socio-economic changes from 1989.
